“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time” — 1 Peter 5:6 NIV
I miss the days of black woman being of grace and empowering each other in entertainment. Our tvs radios and media outlets are now influenced by culture Demons.
We have forgotten why we fought hard to be relevant to change.
This New Era is dark..
Because everyone now wants to be relevant on the Surface !
No way in Hell can a child be a child anymore in the world we now live in.
She can’t grow up without being influenced by broken humans who are considered pop culture.
May the roles reverse an those who need silence be silenced.
So we can continue to the top of the pyramid.
In a world full of “no’s, rejections, let downs & closed doors”, it’s hard to maintain even a mustard seed amount of hope & faith sometimes….but I dare you to go back to your earliest memories of prayers, dreams & wishes. At least one of them have come true. The unimaginable is more than possible…..just gotta continue to work, believe & make room for it.
Whats a role model? Regardless or commas on your bank statement or a celebrity…you’re an example. Don’t just lead by example, but follow the example you set in place. Be a role model for yourself. The likes of Abraham, Job and Solomon in scripture let you know how consistency is rewarded greatly.
Do your part to better yourself, less work for the next person. We can grow from that moment and work more efficiently with what time we have left. Use things. Love people. What’s happening in our neighbors is not by accident, its shown through history. We’ve failed each other. Whats rioting without boycotting? A wise man values silence and criticism. Don’t be the elephant in the room when its time to take a stand. Let conviction speak before you do. #AllLivesMatter
To anyone who participates in destroying their own community, Your frustrations are misguided and you are now just as much a part of the problem as the ones you despise… This is a social economic issue masked as an issue of race.. What’s going on in Baltimore is the culmination of decades of neglect to what was once the “middle class”… This is the product of a 25% unemployment rate in a city where their is no trust between the people and police… Uneducated, under privileged, unemployed, and angry… Some people riot when their Collegiate sports team wins a big game… Some people riot when they’re tired of seeing men killed by the police weekly as if we don’t live in a society governed by a court system based off the concept of “Due Process”… Also it isn’t that people feel like their lives don’t matter specially because of these recent “incidents”… They feel this way because their schools are neglected, their needs aren’t met, they aren’t making enough money to pay their bills because the wages offered are often insufficient in maintaining the standard of living we’ve become accustom to, and then to compound all these problems many of these people have no self worth because they’ve never been taught how to love who they are.. This is an issue of humanity caused by the disconnect between human-beings along with the collapsing of a weakened social economic structure put in place to keep the real wealth in the hands of a few while consistently increasing the disparity between the richest and the poorest.
No matter what you do, no matter how many times you screw up and think to yourself, “Dang I can’t do this.” or “There’s no point anymore.” … no matter how many people tell you that you can’t do something – Do it! Don’t quit! Look back at my story, Living proof.
That’s the attitude that I have on the daily. Because a month or so from now, I will be that much closer to my goal. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be either. I will continue this pattern. Nothing happens overnight. Make today count. Be strong. Do what you gotta do.
